What is Online Counselling?
E-motion provides counselling via our secure online portal. You can choose to have counselling by weekly messages or 'real time' online messages (see 'How We Work').
Online counselling allows you to talk about your problems and feelings in a safe supportive and private space online. We won’t be telling you what to do or giving advice as we aim to work together on your concerns, empowering you to help yourself to find better ways of managing your situation, finding your own solutions or making some changes.
We will listen to you and provide a safe, supportive and confidential space where you can express your thoughts and feelings, and you can expect to be heard, understood and accepted without being judged.
Sometimes it just helps to talk to someone and get something off your chest so whatever your reasons for getting in touch we’re happy to be there for you…And it costs absolutely nothing!
E-motion is for anyone who is 12 – 18 yrs old and living in East Sussex and has access to a computer or smart phone.
E-motion is not a crises or emergency service, so we recommend that if you feel there is a serious risk to yourself or others, or you are in danger or experiencing an emergency you contact the following organisations.

The counselling works by choosing one:
1- By exchanging messages with your counsellor once a week on an agreed day. The counsellor will respond to anything you write within 24 hours. Some say that it feels a bit like writing a diary as you can write whenever you feel like it. It can go up to 12 weeks at any one time but if you feel you need more than this you are welcome to re-register.
2 -Or you can arrange a time to meet up online with your counsellor once a week and write in real time for up to an hour.
